Dee Snider's Daughter Stranded In Peru Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

Twisted Sister's Dee Snider's daughter is stranded in Peru amid the coronavirus outbreak— and the superstar is worried sick.

In an interview with Page Six, Snider, 65, revealed that Chey, 23, traveled to the country to a do a weeklong "spiritual retreat" near the city of Iquitos, but she hasn't returned. In fact, many travelers are stuck in Peru after the country's president Martin Vizcarra issued a 15-day border closure to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus on Sunday. Unfortunately, that was five days before Chey was set to return to the US.

"I am seriously frustrated — and it’s frightening," Snider admitted. "She's scared. But we are talking to a lot of people and we are being optimistic. There's some [reassurance for us] that there are Americans with her in the country, but they are all scared."

At time of press, Snider said that Chey was at the SpiritQuest Shamanic Sanctuary, where she had been partaking in her retreat, alongside other Stateside tourist. "I want to kind of be like The Rock [aka actor Dwayne Johnson] in that movie San Andreas — where he gets in the car, then he gets in the helicopter — to get my daughter. I want to do that, but I’m helpless … The roads are closed, the airports are closed. Everything is shut down."
