Mötley Crüe Fan Blames "Kickstart My Heart" for Speeding, Gets Huge Fine

While police knew one Mötley Crüe fan was telling the truth about why he was recently speeding, it didn't spare him a hefty fine.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Manitoba recently shared an image via Facebook of a radar readout in which an officer clocked a motorist at 145 kilometers an hour — or about 90 miles per hour — before a recent traffic stop.

In the caption, the police said the man told the mountie he was speeding because "Kickstart My Heart" was on the radio.

"Funny enough, our officer knew he was telling the truth, since he was also listening to it — just at a much slower and safer speed," the post read.

Unfortunately for the "Too Fast for Love" lead foot, the officer showed no mercy and wrote a ticket for $639 CAD, which amounts to about $482 U.S. dollars.

Fortunately no one was hurt.

Mötley Crüe has no plans to get back on tour in the future, but the band revealed this past fall that it will be releasing new music along with its The Dirt biopic, which is coming to Netflix this spring

Singer Vince Neil announced in September that he and his band mates had recorded four new songs with producer Bob Rock

Bassist Nikki Sixx later confirmed the new material, adding that "Everybody is playing like mad and the new songs crush."
